The historic structure at 4528 Freret Street is being redeveloped by Green Coast Enterprises and Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans (NHS) to create one stop for homeownership and financial needs.
The building will be anchored by a large-scale credit union expanding into the New Orleans market. Working together, the credit union and NHS will bring further access to credit for individuals, homeowners, and small businesses in the city. NHS will offer homebuyer training and financial support services, as well as other supplementary resources that help in the homebuying process, in a high-tech conference room. The project will also bring a new café to the neighborhood.
Some of the other tenants joining this project are also working to help homebuyers, but the project is open to all.
Integral to the design of this project is a shared space for all of the buildings users. In this communal space, tenants and visitors will drink their coffee, work and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere.
